Small private lots behind the Atwells Avenue restaurants keep us busy. They're posted hard, the owners mean it, and a car blocking a delivery door gets called in as an authorized trespass tow. We photograph and log those, and release them properly. The same trucks run the breakdowns, lockouts, jump starts and winch-outs — dispatched to wherever the car actually sits, not to a shop.
Between the I-95 overpass and Bradford it's tight going. Off Broadway and Westminster you've got 19th-century two- and three-families with driveways barely wider than a mirror, so it's often a winch to the corner and a flatbed load there. Freezing rain matters too — the whole neighborhood's on a hill, and cars slide into curbs near DePasquale Square long after the main road looks clear. Late Friday and Saturday, plus event nights at the Dunk, the phone doesn't stop.
